Established In 1936, Ella Bache is a line of skin care products that was developed by a French family and the brand has expanded throughout the world and is currently available in over 40 countries. Ella Bache offers a wide range of beauty and skin care options all of which fall into the following five categories; cleansers, classic range, soin bio reparateur, radical age defiance system, and hydra. This varied products cost between $140.79 and $178.33.
Reputation and durability are both admirable and important aspects to consider when researching a new product of any kind. The fact that Ella Bache has grown in its vast 74 years is impressive and should not be ignored. The truth is that a company that offers a service to its clientele has a difficult time staying in business without having satisfied and repeat customers. This leads us to the conclusion that many of Ella Bache’s consumers are loyal and return patrons. We cannot guarantee this, however, as there are no customer testimonials to verify this assertion. This is disappointing as customer testimonials are very convincing methods by which you can learn if a product is right for you or not.
Without a complete roster of ingredients it is impossible to determine what side effects you may encounter. Allergens are the main concern when dealing with skin care products and it is unfortunate that Ella Bache has not taken the time or effort to provide such needed information for the potential consumer. We can tell you that the Ella Bache Radical Age Defiance product include celery and Grenoble walnut extract. Walnut extract may have potential for exfoliation purposes but, as nuts are one of the most common allergies, could potential lead to an allergic reaction.
Overall, Ella Bache has not convinced us that it is a brand you should try. With such high price tags we would expect more information in regard to ingredients and customer satisfaction. While we are impressed by the longevity of Ella Bache, we cannot say that this is definitely a product worth attempting. There are other just as well established companies that are willing to give you the information you desire. We suggest looking into those and leaving Ella Bache on the shelves for now.
Elizabeth Arden is practically a household name and you have no doubt encountered their advertisements beckoning to you from the television screen or the page of a magazine. You may have even noticed their products while shopping in a department store or another local retailer. There is something to be said for a company that has been around as long as Elizabeth Arden and has gained such a wide and loyal clientele base. For those of you who are just meandering into the world of potential skin care options it may be tempting, even comforting, to latch on to a well-known brand and there is no shame in that. Tried and true is just as legitimate as new and edgy, maybe even more so.
This is a company that is careful in developing its products as it seems to put the needs of the consumer at the foremost of engineering and manufacturing. Elizabeth Arden offers a host of beauty and skin care products including the popular and powerful Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging Treatment. This product is said to show wrinkle decreasing results around the facial and eye areas most prone to fine lines and creases. Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging Treatment includes a powerful antioxidant called “idebenone.” This ingredient is known as a potent element in the reversal of skin damage accrued due to free radicals.
Our one misgiving about Elizabeth Arden, and the Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging Treatment specifically, is that the product’s ingredients are not listed in their entirety. One of the only ways that we can determine the potential effectiveness of a product is by a careful analysis of the ingredients that the product is made with. We are always slightly suspicious when this information is hidden. Furthermore, it is impossible to forewarn those who may have allergies to certain elements of the formula. In the end it all comes down to what matters most to you personally, reputation or information?
Elemis - March 8th, 2010
Elemis refers to itself as a “British luxury spa and skin care brand.” This company and brand was established in 1989 and has been growing stronger ever since. Their product line is available online. Elemis utilizes popular spa treatments that they have found in salons and spas all over the world. Elemis has “three key principles” and they are as follows: defined by nature, led by science, and a personalized lifestyle prescription. All Elemis products are stated to be free of animal based collagen, mineral oil, alcohol, detergents, silicones and synthetic perfumes. Elemis products are not tested on animals.
Elemis lists a plethora of anti-aging solutions as well as eye care, lip care, masks, sunscreen, facial cleansers, toners, moisturizers and products for either gender. Elemis derives a good amount of its ingredients from natural botanicals, essential oils, organic extracts, medicinal herbs, seaweed extracts (boosts collagen) and natural emulsifiers. As a high-end skin care line, Elemis products range in price from $23 to $300 or more and do not offer a money back guarantee.
There are pro’s and con’s to purchasing Elemis products. It is a little odd that such an expensive and well-established company doesn’t offer a money back guarantee. If they have solid products they have nothing to worry about and it would go a long way to reassure a first time customer who is expected to put down a considerable sum of money. We appreciate that Elemis does not use animal based ingredients and it is convenient that the official website offers an “ingredient glossary” so that you can research each element of whichever product you are buying. At this time we would suggest looking carefully at other products to see if they have a more reasonable price tag or, at least, a money back guarantee should their product not work for you.
This product line, which was founded in England in 1963, uses animal free beauty products. This means that they don’t use any animal testing and also don’t use any animal bi-products in their products as well. In 1989, these products were introduced into the United States after the found Katherine Long died. Needless to say this was a hit because of the new PETA fashion that was happening back then, and the company has been a success ever since then.
There are a number of products created by Beauty Without Cruelty including foundations, concealers, eye color, lip color, cheek color, eye pencils, lip pencils, mascara, nail polishes, tinted moisturizers, powders, cleansers, moisturizers, toners, Vitamin C products, sun care, and eye make up removers. The main ingredients in these products are all different, but there seems to be the following ingredients in all of them: vitamin C, alpha hydroxy acids, and CoQ10.
There doesn’t seem to be any elastin or collagen in these ingredients and we don’t know if these products actually do anything to promote wrinkle reduction. There are some beneficial ingredients included in these products. However, we don’t think that any of them can actually help with anti-aging.
Overall, we don’t recommend these products for wrinkle reduction. Not only do we not see any ingredients that could help fight wrinkles, but we aren’t sure if these products will help your skin at all. There are plenty of other products out there that we are sure could help. You just have to do a bit more research to compare ingredients and findings. Don’t try Beauty Without Cruelty.
They claim that this product can reduce fine lines, creases, wrinkles, dark circles, double chins, and fat cheeks. However, we aren’t sure how a face sculpting wand can get rid of a double chin. That is a bit sketchy. They also claim that this product can be used to reduce eczema. Apparently, the wand sends microcurrents to the skin in order to send negative and positive charges through the skin. They claim that this microcurrent is what helps heal the skin. In fact, a number of companies have created products just like this. This product has been around for 30 years so there must be something to it.
These microcurrents apparently increase ITP by 500 percent. Further, you can only have access to this product through your physician because they are the ones that administer the treatment. Although they don’t disclose their prices, products like the one Beautiful Image has created are administered for $200-$300 just for the use of the machine and another $80 for the gel that must be applied after the treatment. This is a lot of money to be dishing out for a product that hasn’t even been scientifically proven. However, there are a number of customers that stand by this product and give it very positive reviews.
Overall, we don’t recommend this product. Not only has it not been tested for effectiveness, but it is very expensive. Sure, some people like it and swear by it, but there are also people that don’t think it does anything at all. This is too much money to be spending on a product that you are unsure. Especially when there are plenty of other products out there that work just as well if not better. We definitely recommend researching and finding another product before you look into trying this.
Aveda - March 5th, 2010
Aveda, which is a pretty popular and well known skin care line, has now created its Green Science Collection. They claim that this product line can reduce and fill in wrinkles on your face as well as use completely botanical ingredients. They also claim that they can slow down the aging process. They claim that the ingredients they use can help the skin by removing free radicals that could be damaging the skin. The product sells for $85 which is reasonably priced but still a bit pricey for a product that can be purchased at your local drugstore.
This product includes argan oil, vitamin E, polyunsaturated fatty acids, glucosamine, buckwheat wax, peptides, and linoleic acid. Peptides are a good ingredient for slowing down the aging process if used in the correct amounts. However, because they don’t provide us with a full ingredients list, we aren’t able to determine the concentrations of these peptides and exactly what peptides they are.
Overall, we like Aveda. They seem to have some pretty good ingredients besides buckwheat wax. We weren’t able to figure out the reasoning for including this product since it really doesn’t have any skin promoting properties. We recommend trying Aveda. They use completely all natural ingredients which we love. However, we can’t guarantee that you’ll see results because of the lack of information that is provided about these products. If you want that guarantee, we recommend doing a bit more research to compare ingredients and prices in order to find a product that you know will work for you.

The eyes can have a surprising effect on the way you look. They can make you look much older than wrinkles on any other part of the face, and ultimately speaking, improving that and brightening your eyes can make a huge difference to say the least. It has the right stuff, and we would definitely recommend using Cellatox. It is the one formula that we would say could definitely come through in a big way when it really comes down to pure eye creams and more.

Avage - March 3rd, 2010
This product can only be bought if you have a prescription. This product was created by Allergan, which ironically enough was the creators of Botox. They claim that this product can reduce your wrinkles, get rid of dark spots and even your pigmentations. However, we think that this product may have some serious side effects. The price of this product varies from doctor to doctor.
The main ingredient in Avage is tarzarotene which is used to treat acne, not wrinkles. It has been used in other skin care products like Tazorac. This product also uses benzyl alcohol, carbomer 934P, carbomer 1342, edentate disodium, medium chain triglycerides, mineral oil, purified water, sodium thiosulfate, sorbitan monooleate, and sodium hydroxide.
A lot of these ingredients, however, can really irritate the skin and cause redness. This makes us wonder if it is even worth it. Also, we weren’t able to find any ingredients that will actually help with reducing wrinkles. Everything seems to help with acne, however.
Overall, we don’t recommend Avage. Not only do they not have any wrinkle fighting ingredients, but they only have one active ingredient. This product will only cause your skin to turn red. There are plenty of other treatments out there that will work to reduce your wrinkles. We recommend that you do a bit more research. Compare ingredients, and compare prices to find a product that you know will work for you. Don’t waste your time with Avage. Just because the creators of Botox made it, doesn’t mean that it’ll work.
