Biotherm’s Skin Vivo line is a series of anti-aging formulas designed to reverse the aging process. Each product, including the creams for dry skin, normal skin, the night cream, and the eye cream, all contain the same ingredients. Let’s see what makes them up and how effective they are.
On The Label
Biotherm Skin Vivo is made up of pure thermal plankton. That provides epidermal structural repair with “filler action” which visibly helps to fill deep wrinkles, particularly effective for mature skin. It also includes Reverserol SV which has the capacity to rejuvenate the skin through the vital impulse of the genes and the defense of DNA. It also contains silicium. Silicium helps to build the macromolecules that make connective tissue: elastin, collagen, proteoglycans and glycoproteins. All of these products hydrate and fill in the skin, eliminating wrinkles. The last active ingredient listed for these products is bio-peptides. These Stimulate cell activity by interacting with molecules that can signal cells to produce more collagen, stimulating cell renewal and cell turnover, and diminishing wrinkles
Our Take
Peptides are proven to stimulate collagen production, whereas all the other active ingredients listed are not proven to penetrate the surface of the skin. Since bio-peptides are one the last ingredients listed, it is likely that there are not sufficient peptides in the produce to actually stimulate collagen production, and the product might not be worth the money. The use of the DNA enhancing product has not been tested or proven, and cannot be verified as a successful means of eliminating wrinkles. Because what many of the ingredients are unique or patented, it is difficult to compare this product to others in terms of active ingredients. Many women found that the product stung when applied, but did not cause redness or extended irritation. Many noticed a softening of wrinkles, and a lightening under the eye within a relatively short amount of time. Without a full list of ingredients, however, we don’t know how much of each active ingredient can be found in the product.
