Elite HGF Youth Elixir Reviews

This product is a concentrated serum that claims to effectively stop time and reduce the signs of aging on your face. Using the peptides found in HGF – or human growth factor, it says that it will increase the production of thymus in the skin, which makes the skin look younger. While this idea is largely unresearched by other companies, we do know that peptides aid in the production of cells. While we aren’t entirely sure that the thymus is affected, we do know that collagen production ebbs as people age, which is similar to what Elite is claiming about production of thymus. We need to look closely at the ingredients in this serum to determine whether or not it will be effective.

Product Details:

Seaweed Extract, Purified Water, Hyaluronic Acid, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Phenoxyethanol, Ehtylhexylglycerin

How It Works

The first ingredients in this “concentrated” serum are seaweed extract and water. That means that this elixir is primarily comprised of things that do nothing for the deeper layers of the skin, and especially not for the wrinkles or other signs of age. The next ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which does help produce retinol, which then stimulates collagen production. This ingredient can be found in higher concentrations for much cheaper, however. The next ingredient is Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, which is the ingredient that claims to aid in the thymal functions of the skin.

Our Take

The last ingredient is ehtylhexylglycerin, which is preservative that has been known to cause skin irritation. While we don’t know if there is enough of this ingredient to harm the skin, we do know that we would not recommend this product. It is very expensive – over $100 for about one fluid ounce – and it probably doesn’t contain a high enough concentration of peptides to be effective. We would recommend, if you are planning on spending this kind of money, looking for something with more peptides.
