What’s Wrong With the Study?
We think it important to address this problem right off the bat. As a society, we see study, and we think well it must be absolutely and unarguably effective! To this end, most companies provide you with studies researching their key ingredients, which is fine. As long as they use the clinically proven amounts, it is perfectly logical to cite a study on one main ingredient. The problem here is that they claim to have studied the whole Murad Resurgence kit in their own labs.
This study has never been published in any legitimate journal, and they did not use double blind, placebo controlled, randomized methods, which would ensure some level of objectivity. Actually, the fact that they conducted this study in their own labs shatters any credibility they may have had. But we have to wonder if this is just a fluke, a bump in the road.

How It Works
The Murad Resurgence kit has 3 pieces with the main ingredients listed above. When used twice daily, the cleanser and serum could ideally cleanse the skin, eliminating harmful bacteria while simultaneously giving you a power packed way to replenish the skin, increasing the production of collagen and elastin and reversing the aging process. When added to a once a day night cream, which is supposed to help you to replenish the skin as you sleep, it could make up the ideal wrinkle fighting formula.
What Murad Resurgence Actually Does
Murad Resurgence may provide 3 different formulas, and these formulas do have some active ingredients that could protect skin or even reverse the common signs of aging. Ingredients like peptides product collagen and elastin while antioxidants protect the skin from future damage.
The problem is in the fact that they do not use the clinically proven amounts. While the average peptide requires 5-10%, they use about 1% of each. Instead, they use high concentrations of thick moisturizers, that often clog the pores accompanied by fillers, preservatives, parabens, mineral oils, and other ingredients that can be harmful to sensitive skin.
Assessment of Murad Resurgence
Is there a study that would prove the effectiveness of Murad Resurgence? No, the formula simply does not support that theory. There are studies that back the 2 major peptides that they use, proving that those peptides provide substantial wrinkle fighting effects in 6-8 weeks. But those studies multiplied any concentration you may find in Murad Resurgence. So Murad Resurgence is nowhere near clinically proven.
If you look at real studies, you would find that most of the ingredients in Murad Resurgence have never been proven to fight wrinkles, regardless of how much or how little you may use, and some have been proven to damage the skin, inducing problems with premature aging. It is clear, at least to us, exactly what Murad Resurgence is and is not.
