NV Perricone MD is a line of beauty and skin care products that also has some general healthcare products to its name for good measure. For the purposes of this review we will be focusing our attention on the specific product Advanced Eye Therapy from the NV Perricone MD Anti-Aging Line. NV Perricone MD was created by Dr. Nicholas Perricone and has been featured on such prominent programs as The Oprah Winfrey Show. This product claims to target and eliminate the bags and crow’s feet that can develop on the thin skin around the eye as we age. These products range in price from $35-$95 each but it is recommended that you use them in accordance with the instructions, which generally means more than one product is necessary for optimum results.
On The Label
This product is one of the few that gives us a comprehensive list of ingredients.
This list reads as follows: Aqua (Water), Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Aminobutyric Acid, Isopropyl Palmitate, Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phosphatidylcholine, Thioctic Acid (Alpha-Lipoic Acid), Caffeine, Niacinamide, Ceteareth-20, Borago Officinalis (Borage) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Squalane, Folic Acid, Tocophersolan, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 60, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethyl MEA (DMAE), Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Phytonadione, Phenoxyethanol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocotrienols, Hexylene Glycol, Eicosapentaenoic Acid, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Astaxanthin.
How It Works
The most effective elements in this formulation are the antioxidants (such as alpha lipoic acid and topopheryl) and caffeine which can serve to give the skin a refreshed appearance. DMAE is an oft-used ingredient in skin care compounds but NV Perricone MD is lacking in peptides, collagen and elastin which are the most effective topical ingredients for combating wrinkles and giving consumers an element of prevention for the future. NV Perricone is just another product that is hoping to prosper based on the name and the endorsement of a physician instead of from implementing proven ingredient with successful results. We do not recommend this line of products at this time.

Genna Says:
I was 40 when I bought into all the Perricone hype (including his books). I used the line for almost a year, spending hundreds of dollars and the only thing I gained was adult acne. I also emailed their support address several times to request advice about the break outs and my messages went unanswered. I wouldn’t use the Perricone line again and I would urge other consumers to use caution.
